Keskinkılıç Food Ind. And Trd. Co. containing Bal Küpü brand was established in 1987. Keskinkılıç Food producing and marketing Bal Küpü branded sugar and tea, established its first crystal sugar processing and packaging factory in Kayseri in 1992 and second crystal sugar processing and packaging factory in Gebze in 1998. With further investment made within the Gebze Factory in 2001, Bal Küpü also started tea production. Lastly in 2006, Bal Küpü constructed its third factory in Aksaray and started sugar production from sugar beet in the same year. Aksaray Bal Küpü Sugar Factory, with an annual sugar beet processing capacity of 750,000 tons, is the first private sector sugar factory in Turkey to produce sugar from sugar beet. In 2010, Bal Küpü transferred its facilities from Kayseri to Aksaray and ended its activities in this province. Keskinkılıç Food continues to grow with its General Headquarter in Istanbul and its factories in Aksaray and Gebze. Keskinkılıç Food today has the capacity to produce 175.000 tons of sugar per year. Keskinkılıç Food realizes the production of Bal Küpü branded sugar and tea products in its 2 factories established in a total area of 2.225.950 m², as of 2.189.953 m² open and 35.997 m² closed ones in Gebze and Aksaray.

On the purpose of presenting the highest quality in sugar to consumers; Bal Küpü’s agricultural experts provide training and consultancy on beet cultivation, seed, field preparation, soil analysis, fertilization, hoeing, irrigation and harvesting to its contracted producers. From qualified beets obtained in this way, Bal Küpü branded sugars produced in Aksaray Factory, which have ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System and TS ISO 45001: 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Standard certificate are produced in Aksaray and Gebze facilities with ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 22000: 2018, TS ISO 45001: Packaged in full automation in accordance with food safety and hygiene in line with 2018 standards.

Keskinkılıç Food having also one of the most modern tea facilities in Turkey, realized the quality missed in tea with its Bal Küpü brand blend tea varieties produced homogeneously with superior hygiene technology. The tea leaves from Black Sea region, which are grown with natural methods and collected carefully, blended in state-of-the-art systems, dosed automatically in digital systems, and packaged in special packages designed to keep Bal Küpü Tea fresh for longer, protecting it from odor and moisture. All these processes ensure that each Bal Küpü Tea package has the same flavor and quality.
